NEW MANAGER FOR ACE NAMBUCCA VALLEY
In announcing Mallory Mills as the
successful applicant for the position of Adult &
Community Education Nambucca Valley Manager,
Chairperson Sandra Schumacher expressed the Management
Committee's delight with the appointment.
"Mallory has an extensive background in the ACE
sector and brings with her a wealth of experience and
knowledge in administration." Sandra said.
"Mallory has been acting in the position of
Coordinator of ACE Nambucca Valley since the beginning
of Term 3 following the resignation of previous
Coordinator, Liz Keen. Within weeks of taking over,
she guided ACE Nambucca Valley through a successful
Board of Adult & Community Education assessment.
It gives me great pleasure to welcome her and we look
forward to a long and mutually satisfying
partnership."
"I feel very fortunate to be taking over as
Manager at this time. Just two years ago ACE Nambucca
Valley was in grave danger of been closed down.
Previous Coordinators Jane Kevan and Liz Keen, and the
dedicated Management Committee, have worked very hard
to rebuild ACE Nambucca into the vibrant and growing
community resource it is now." Mallory Mills
commented on her appointment. "I'm looking
forward to the challenge of facilitating further
expansion and growth for the Centre. The Adult &
Community Education sector is currently experiencing
very positive growth in the provision of skills
training and recreational education. ACE Nambucca
Valley caters to a wide range of age groups from young
people to seniors. This reflects the trend toward
lifelong learning."
"The potential exists for developing more
community partnerships and I look forward to building
relationships with various community organizations so
we can better serve the whole community. I would like
to hear from the community as to what kind of courses
they would like to participate in. Provided tutors are
available and there are adequate numbers, we can run
any kind of course required." Mallory concluded.
