Loads of recreational options

Of course you can't come to Nambucca Heads and avoid the stunning scenery. You're in one of the most scenically outstanding regions in Australia. You'll find beaches which go on forever, lush tropical rainforest, rolling green pastures and misty blue mountains.

If you enjoy water activities then a few minutes stroll to our beaches gives you a choice of the best. We also have great river swimming as well as Beilby's own swimming pool. We provide surfboards and boogie boards free of charge.

Another great way to see the local scenery is to bring your bicycles and take a cycling tour of our town. In an hour or two you'll see more beautiful scenery than many folks have seen in an entire lifetime.

There's a good chance you'll see some dolphins during your visit. Believe us, we're not exaggerating about this. Nambucca Heads seems to be the dolphin capital of Australia's east coast.

If you're into horse riding there are places where you can take an escorted ride through a rainforest fairyland. If you're not quite up to that, then consider a four wheel drive tour up into the hills for the experience of a lifetime.

There's some nice restaurants around town, five of which are right on the Nambucca River or overlooking the Pacific Ocean. You can enjoy an inexpensive breakfast, lunch or dinner whilst you watch the fish, pelicans and seagulls from the balcony or restaurant window.
